The DeMezerville and Gilhool families have been working and surfing together since 2005 when Mi Casa Hostel opened for business in San José and the Playa Grande Surf Camp was purchased by the Gilhools in Guanacaste. Over the past several years, the two families have worked and lived side by side in Playa Grande. They have since decided to merge their mutual love of surfing and teaching into the Playa Grande Surf School.

With male and female instructors and a homegrown approach to learning to surf or improving your skills, this Tico/US team is intent on providing the best possible experience for students from all walks of life and from all around the world.
